Privacy and personal information
Information and access
Mungu stores account contacts, approved church memberships, operational records, giving, attendance and messages. Religious affiliation, giving and pastoral records are treated as private information. Access depends on the current verified role and the record's owner. Platform support does not receive general access to private chat or church finance.
Your choices
Contact discovery is off by default. Church membership is requested voluntarily. SMS and email campaigns require channel consent, which can be withdrawn in My Churches. Self-chat is private to its owner and is not automatically sent to AI. Messages are access controlled on the server; Mungu does not claim end-to-end encryption.
External processing
AI requests require explicit consent and may send your AI conversation to the configured provider. SMS uses verified providers after authorization. Unconfigured external services remain disabled. Avoid submitting sensitive pastoral or children's information to AI.
Requests and retention
Use Support or Data privacy requests to ask for access, correction, restriction or deletion. Church financial records, receipts and audit evidence may be retained for lawful recordkeeping. Leaving a church ends current access without erasing its historical financial records.
Operator review
The commissioning operator must publish its legal identity, privacy contact, retention periods, processing agreements and applicable registration details before production acceptance. Submit privacy enquiries through the Contact support page.
